About Andrew
I am an aspiring Interaction Designer currently studying at the Simon Fraser University of British Columbia, Canada. I am working, practicing and studying to receive my BSc. in Interaction Design. Expected graduation date? Spring 2009 most likely.
My current interest revolves around practical design methods. This mostly means concentrating on function and applying the Laws of the Simplicity towards every aspect of the design. With that said, my primary precedents are MartĂ GuixĂ© and John Maeda who are at the forefronts of designing for simplicity and functionality. Anyway, I can get my hands dirty at web design, prototyping, usability testing and other related fields in this industry. Web design, illustration and rapid prototyping are part of my arsenal while procrastinating is something I’d like to be rid of.

I listen to Electronic, Rap and R&B. My favorites include Daft Punk, and Lupe Fiasco. I try to run two miles a day. I’m a sucker for fighter aircraft, like the JAS-39 Gripen. I use the alias ‘watermelon’ if you didn’t know that already. Graphic Novels I read include One Piece, Psyren and Hitman Reborn. My favorite blogs include Treehugger, SmashingMagazine, Slashfood, TheBrothersBrick and YankoDesign. I’m allergic to beer and crabs. I’m fluent with Ps, Ai, Fl and Dw; like everyone else. I’m well versed with (X)HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL and bits of arduino, Action- and Javascript.
And I’m up for contract work! If you like what I do and have something for me to do, contact me and I’ll respond in a timely manner with a quote.
